Job summary

Advocate Health Cabarrus is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Respiratory Therapy Services department. This full-time position (36 hours/week) involves night shifts and a sign-on bonus eligibility, with a pay range of $30.70 - $46.05 per hour.

The role requires RRT credentials, state licensure, and BLS. Associate degree in respiratory therapy is required; a BA/BS is preferred. Experience in critical care and ventilator management is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required.
• Credentialed as an RRT by NBRC.
• State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (AHA).
• BSRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and equipment.
• Administers prescribed respiratory therapies and monitors outcomes.
• Operates mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and recommends changes.
• Documents therapy and results per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates with the healthcare team and educates patients.
