Job summary

Peet’s Coffee, Inc. is hiring a Production Technician for the 3rd shift (11:30pm–7:00am) in Minnesota. You will roast, grind, or package coffee, monitor quality, maintain equipment, and follow GMPs, SSOPs, and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities include operating packaging lines, recording production data, and supporting continuous improvement while meeting production goals and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of hands-on production experience in a machine technician, machine operator, or production operations leadership role.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production documentation, work instructions, and safety procedures
• Basic proficiency in math, reading, and written communication
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate standard workplace systems

Responsibilities

• Process coffee as the production schedule demands.
• Ensure workstation safety and food safety standards.
• Complete Quality Control Point monitoring tasks according to procedures.
• Submit production records for the workstation.
• Train and monitor daily Production Team Members and temporary workers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workstation and facility.
• Operate one or two packaging lines, roasting machines, or grinding machines.
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays.
