Job summary

Peet's Coffee is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift in Minnesota. You will perform equipment maintenance, troubleshoot, and support production across roasting and packaging operations.

The role emphasizes safety, high uptime, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is valued, along with SCADA familiarity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technician field experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Minnesota Electrical Unlicensed certification (or higher).
• Basic electrical circuits knowledge.
• Welding and fabricating experience.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Comfortable operating production equipment.
• Able to navigate SCADA systems (e.g., Scolari).
• Strong troubleshooting skills; able to work independently.
• Self-motivated and reliable with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Trade school diploma in electronic/mechanical packaging equipment or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations by understanding machinery functionality.
• Monitor equipment and processes for safety, efficiency and quality.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on roasting and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Maintain equipment aiming for high uptime.
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Assist Engineering Technician with new equipment installs/modifications.
• Respond to unplanned downtime to minimize disruptions.
• Communicate with Engineering Supervisor and Operations teams.
• Uphold Peet's Coffee policies and safety procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and plant safety initiatives.
• Comply with GMPs, SSOPs and Health policy in Food Safety programs.
• Operate forklifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts safely.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety protocols.
• Maintain sanitation standards and routine cleaning.
• Be flexible for shift changes, overtime, and weekends.
