Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for night work in Winston-Salem, NC. You will lead night crews on highway, roadway and utility projects, coordinating with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil roadway/underground utility at superintendent or senior foreman level, with proven night work on DOT projects. Relocation to the Triad area is welcome; strong safety and scheduling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at the superintendent or senior foreman level.
• Proven night work experience on DOT roadway or utility projects.
• Ability to read plans and specs and maintain accurate quantities.
• Willingness to work a heavy night schedule.
• Valid driver’s license; NCDOT project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Plan and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries; manage daily schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within approved night work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production; complete daily reports and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and day side of the job.
