Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Tech Flatbed to provide safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members. Responsibilities include responding to member requests, performing minor mechanical assistance, and safely towing vehicles when needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, automotive training with electrical troubleshooting, a valid single-state driver’s license, DOT card, and a clean motor vehicle record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction.
• DOT card pre-hire and within 1 year of employment.
• Satisfactorily pass motor vehicle record check during pre-hire and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Accept calls and respond to Dispatch or members with ETA; locate members and greet them to take action.
• Provide efficient minor mechanical assistance and towing as needed.
• Maintain service vehicle and equipment in safe working order and safety checks.
• Educate members on AAA products and refer calls to appropriate services.
• Work with Dispatch to get members to their destinations and support 24/7 operations.
