Job summary

AAA Northeast is hiring a Roadside Service Technician - Flatbed to provide safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members. You will respond within ETA, perform minor mechanical tasks, and conduct safe towing when needed.

Responsibilities include assisting members, promoting AAA products, and maintaining vehicle readiness while adhering to safety and club policies. Must be flexible to cover 24/7 shifts and maintain high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active and valid driver's license is required.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting is required.
• DOT card pre-hire and within 1 year of employment is required.
• Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Accepts calls and responds to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination and assesses safety of the scene on arrival.
• Provides minor mechanical assistance and towing service per safety procedures and club policies.
• Maintains service vehicle and equipment in safe working order and keeps inventory of tools and products.
• Promotes AAA products and services and assists in getting members to their destination.
• Work with Dispatch to cover 24/7 operation and flexible shifts.
• Ensure safety and avoid endangering members or traveling companions.
