Job summary

Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead nursing operations on the night shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.). You will support the Director of Nursing, ensure efficient patient care, and maintain high standards of clinical outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current state nursing licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines.
• Experience supervising GNA’s and LPN's in a nursing home setting.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess needs.
• Work with physicians to create care plans and assist with procedures.
• Maintain complete healthcare records and PCC usage according to best practices.
• Supervise and train GNA’s and LPN's on staff.
• Administer medication and injections and provide emergency care when necessary.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness within the facility.
• Collaborate with DON to ensure adequate staffing.
• Limit overtime/agency staff through effective manpower use.
• Assess nursing staff performance and ensure timely service.
• Protect facility security and foster a respectful team environment.
• Monitor care to reduce hospitalizations and improve outcomes.
• Facilitate shift-to-shift communication among staff.
• Review admissions for nursing capability and readiness.
• Notify attending physician and family of significant health changes.
• Investigate complaints and take appropriate actions.
