Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Night Shift RN to coordinate patient care using the nursing process within a high-acuity unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while delegating appropriately to the healthcare team.

The role requires 3–5 years of critical care experience, an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS/ALS current or on hire, plus trauma and NIHSS readiness within specified timelines. Strong leadership and precepting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three to five years of critical care experience preferred.
• Current RN license and ACLS/ALS certification on hire or placement.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers current.
• NIHSS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Trauma cert within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead rapid assessment and emergency responses as needed.
• Participate in protocol development and educational activities.
• Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards and regulations.
• Mentor and precept junior staff and rotate as needed.
