Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking an RN for full-time night shifts on the Hospitalist A Unit. The RN coordinates patient care using the nursing process, assesses patients, develops and implements a care plan, and delegates tasks per the Texas Nursing Practice Act.

The role requires a nursing degree and an active RN license in Texas or a valid compact license. Two years of nursing experience is preferred, ideally in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited nursing program.
• Two years nursing experience; acute care preferred.
• RN license (Texas Board) or Compact license.
• Current healthcare provider CPR (AHA/Red Cross/ Military Training Network).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess patients, develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Delegate interventions according to the Texas Nursing Practice Act and team competencies.
• Provide patient-centered care with effective oral and written communication.
• Prepare and conduct in‑service educational programs; rotate as Charge Nurse.
