Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Night Shift, Full Time RN to coordinate patient care under the Parkland nursing model. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and communicate with the care team to minimize delays and complications.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, two years of nursing experience (acute care preferred), and current RN licensure with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience required; acute care preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required; Texas Nursing Practice Act compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate and maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and cultural preferences.
• Provide nursing care within the multidisciplinary plan of care and clinical standards.
• Use critical thinking to assess and intervenes in emergency situations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; participate in information exchanges.
• May act as preceptor, Charge Nurse on rotation, and contribute to staff training.
