Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Intensive Care Unit-I, located at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. This night-shift role supports a 32-bed ICU with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and teamwork.
You will assess patients, administer treatments, educate families, and document in EPIC while collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure safe transitions and high-quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active NJ RN license (or Multistate RN with NJ endorsement) in good standing
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS certification within six months of hire
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; accredited nursing program
- MEDSURG-BC, PCCN or CMSRN certifications encouraged
- Experience in Medical/Surgical and/or Telemetry care preferred
- EMR proficiency with EPIC and related nursing documentation systems
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
- Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment
- Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions
- Educate patients and families to support informed decisions
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions
- Engage in a collaborative team environment and pursue professional growth
