Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Intensive Care Unit‑II at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The role features day shifts, competitive hourly pay, and a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and patient‑centered care.

The RN will assess patients, administer meds, coordinate with physicians, educate families, and document in EPIC. NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS within six months, and Med/Surg/Telemetry experience are highly valued; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing is required.
• BSN preferred; clinical specialty in Med/Surg or Telemetry is advantageous.
• ACLS/BLS certifications must be current or obtained within six months of hire.
• Experience in Med/Surg and/or Telemetry areas is preferred.
• Certifications MEDSURG-BC, PCCN, CMSRN are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and care.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to coordinate care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly to support understanding of care plans.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team with shared accountability.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and career pathways.
