Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This night-shift role offers growth in a collaborative environment and exposure to a full range of pediatric subspecialties.
You will perform patient assessments, administer care, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds with a focus on safety and family education. Bachelor’s in Nursing strongly preferred; NJ RN license and BLS required.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and BLS certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
- ER nursing experience and comfort with EPIC EMR.
- Will work 7p-7:30a; 36 hours per week; rotating weekends/holidays.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes to intervene early.
- Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
- Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely decisions.
- Educate patients and families so they feel informed and supported.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and smooth transitions of care.
- Engage in ongoing professional growth and clinical ladder opportunities.
