Job summary

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network is seeking a dedicated professional for the Organ Referral Coordinator role. You will manage daily referrals, assess medical suitability, and coordinate on-site staff to ensure efficient donation processes, including communication with families and hospital partners.

You will collaborates across clinical and hospital resources to optimize donor outcomes, handle 12-hour night shifts, including weekends, and participate in ongoing training and quality

Qualifications

• Compassionate and ethical with a high level of accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with ability to use health tech and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Advance Gift of Hope's mission and support a positive, respectful work culture.
• Triage organ referrals, gather clinical information, and assess medical suitability.
• Coordinate case plans and on-site staff involvement for organ referrals and donation processes.
• Communicate clearly with families and hospital teams; obtain and document authorization.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation per policy and assist with testing and services as directed.
• Support staff in the referral process and identify actions to address issues in donation.
