Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network coordinates evaluation, authorization, medical management, surgical recovery and distribution of organs for transplantation or research from deceased donors. The role requires night shifts (7PM-7AM) and collaboration with hospital teams to facilitate donation.

Candidates typically hold an associate degree in a healthcare field, with 1 year in critical care; bachelor’s preferred. Strong communication with families and internal partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare-related field with at least 1 year in critical care.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for consideration.
• Experience delivering critical care medicine is required.
• Ability to communicate compassionately with donor families and external partners.
• Competency with ICU/OR equipment and related software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential organ and tissue donors by reviewing hospital records for eligibility.
• Document clinical information clearly and concisely.
• Coordinate medical management of deceased donors with anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Communicate donation process effectively with families and partners.
• Package and label organs for transplantation or research per policy.
• Support departmental quality assurance and training activities.
