Job summary

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network is seeking a dedicated coordinator to manage daily referral activity and assess potential organ donors. You will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely responses and optimal coverage, facilitating the donation process from evaluation to authorization.

The role requires triage of referrals, collection of clinical information, and coordination with families and transplant centers to support successful donor outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in Allied Health or graduate RN providing patient care in an acute care setting, or previous OPO clinical experience.
• Other candidates may be considered on an individual basis at the discretion of management, dependent on aligned job experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage organ referrals and obtain clinical information to determine medical suitability.
• Create case plan for organ referrals and coordinate with onsite staff.
• Coordinate onsite staff for organ donors and referral activity to ensure timely flow.
• Provide information to families and obtain authorization for donation.
• Document accurate clinical information and participate in quality assurance activities.
