Job summary

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network is seeking a dedicated organ donor coordinator to evaluate potential donors, coordinate medical management and the surgical recovery and distribution of deceased donor organs for transplantation or research.

You will collaborate with hospital teams, transplant centers and families, document clinical information clearly, and participate in training and quality initiatives while working a 12-hour night shift.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare-related field with 1 year in critical care.
• Bachelor's prepared critical care nurse preferred.
• Experience in delivery of critical care medicine.
• Ability to communicate compassionately with donor families and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential donors by reviewing hospital records to determine medical eligibility.
• Document clinical information clearly and concisely.
• Coordinate donor medical management with anesthesia in the OR.
• Communicate with families to provide information and support.
• Coordinate the surgical recovery and distribution of deceased donor organs.
• Coordinate activities with Gift of Hope staff and transplant centers.
• Work 12-hour night shifts (7PM-7AM).
