Job summary

Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Main Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Observation Unit. The part-time role covers 7pm-7am with every third weekend and rotating holidays, delivering safe, compassionate patient care and collaborating with the clinical team to optimize outcomes.

Required include Illinois RN licensure, CPR and NIHSS certification, EKG knowledge, and ADN or higher (with BN within five years for ADN holders). Preference for BSN and ACLS, with a strong inpatient background.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective Sept 1, 2021).
• Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered OR RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to Sept 1, 2021.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge base of EKG interpretation.
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification, required.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
