Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Observation Unit in Elmhurst. Work hours are 7pm-7am, full-time (36 hours/week) with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays. You will deliver safe, compassionate care, plan and evaluate patient care, and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Required qualifications include an RN license in Illinois, an nursing degree (ADN, BSN, or RN Diploma with future BSN), CPR, EKG knowledge, and NIHSS certification. ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation.
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification, required.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• The Staff Nurse will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
