Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Observation Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital. This part-time role (24 hours/week) runs 7pm–7am with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays. The Staff Nurse delivers safe, compassionate care and coordinates with the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required: ADN or higher in nursing, Illinois RN licensure, and CPR certification. NIHSS certification is required; BSN preferred if ADN is held.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Nursing.
• If ADN is the highest degree, must graduate with BSN within five years of start date.
• Current Illinois RN licensure is required.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care by planning, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
