Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Jersey City is seeking an experienced RN for the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The role offers a full-time night shift with a patient-centered focus, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ongoing professional growth in a teaching hospital setting.

You will assess, treat, and educate patients, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds to ensure safe, coordinated care across shifts.

Qualifications

• You must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• A current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification are required within 6 months from hire.
• Experience as Telemetry/Medical Surgical RN and comfort with EMR systems (EPIC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide medications, treatments, and hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure informed, supported transitions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team communication.
