RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-II at Monmouth Medical Center - Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ. The role supports infectious disease and telemetry care on an 18-bed unit with a strong focus on safety and evidence-based practice.

Requirements include an active NJ RN license, BLS, and EPIC EMR familiarity; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The position offers a night shift and a competitive hourly pay range, plus comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Prior patient care experience and familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening early as needed.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to support timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly, ensuring they feel informed and prepared for next steps.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support smooth transitions of care.
• Contribute to a highly collaborative team environment focused on outcomes.
