Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-I at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. The role emphasizes patient assessments, evidence-based care, and collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The RN will document in EPIC, participate in rounds, and support safe transitions of care. Requirements include an active NJ RN license, BLS certification, and a BSN is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene early and advocate for patients.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC) for continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and effective transitions of care.
