Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated RN Med Surg Tele PRN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across shifts, including night hours 7:00pm–7:00am with rotating weekends. You will collaborate with the care team to assess, treat, and educate patients and families.

The role emphasizes advocacy, adherence to nursing standards, and participation in hospital initiatives to advance patient outcomes and the nursing profession within a supportive team environment.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
• Associate's Degree okay to start, Bachelors Degree required within 24 months of hire into RN position
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• 1 year acute care experience in area/unit highly preferred

Aufgaben

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
