Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an RN Med Surg Tele PRN to provide high-quality patient-centered care on the night shift, with rotating weekends. This role emphasizes collaboration with care teams, adherence to nursing standards, and active participation in patient and family education.

The position is PRN for night hours (7:00pm–7:00am) in Texas, requiring an RN license in TX or compact, BLS certification, and acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
• Associate's Degree okay to start, Bachelors Degree required within 24 months of hire into RN position
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• 1 year acute care experience in area/unit highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, responsive care and proactively addressing patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, medications, and follow-up measures.
