Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse in Med Surg Tele on a PRN basis to cover night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within established nursing models and act as a patient advocate.

As an RN, you will collaborate with the care team, document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and the future of nursing at our 895+ bed facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Associate's Degree acceptable; Bachelor’s Degree required within 24 months of hire.
• Current TX RN license or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• 1 year acute care experience in area/unit highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and educating patients, families, and caregivers.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
