Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery for the night shift at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This full-time position offers 36 hours per week, with 2300-0730 or 1900-0730 hours and weekend rotation.

You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care, develop and revise care plans, perform patient assessments, and collaborate with the care team. A IL nursing license, BSN preferred, and BLS certification are required along with 2 years L&D or acute care experience.

Qualifications

• License: Current professional nursing licensure in IL required.
• Education: NLN-accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred.
• Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required by the American Heart Association.
• Experience: 2 years Labor and Delivery or acute care nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Evaluates patient progress toward attainment of outcomes and revises diagnoses and interventions as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data from patient, family and other health care providers.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family, respecting patient wishes and mutual goals.
• Documents patient health data, interventions and communications for continuity of care.
• Assists in teaching patients and families, adapting to learning needs and cultural background.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and keeps abreast of practice trends.
