Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. The role is full-time (36 hours/week) with 7:00 PM–7:30 AM hours, weekend rotation, and a sign-on bonus for Labor and Delivery experience.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care across patient populations. Responsibilities include planning and evaluating care, patient assessment, teaching, and participation in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL is required.
• NLN-accredited nursing program graduation; BSN preferred.
• BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association required.
• 2 years in Labor and Delivery or acute care nursing preferred.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care to achieve outcomes and revises it as needed.
• Performs patient assessment and collects health data.
• Communicates plan of care to patient, family and interdisciplinary team.
• Tailors teaching to patient learning needs and cultural background.
• Supports professional development of peers and students; delegates tasks as needed.
• Provide psychological support to maintain a compassionate environment.
• Assist with injections, venipuncture, IV management and related procedures.
• Engage in performance improvement and nursing research.
• If skilled, conduct daily rounds of wound/ostomy/skin care patients and monitor plans.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in transporting acutely ill patients.
