Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift at Evanston Hospital, IL. The role requires delivering safe, compassionate care and collaborating with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include planning and evaluating care, patient assessment, teaching, and participating in performance improvement. IL license and BLS/CPR are required; Labor and Delivery experience is preferred. Full-time 36 hours/week with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Current IL nursing license required.
• Graduate of NLN-accredited nursing program.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 2 years Labor and Delivery or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises diagnoses and interventions as needed.
• Performs patient assessment and collects health data from patient, family, and care team.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Documents health data, interventions, and communications accurately.
• Provides patient and family teaching tailored to learning needs and cultural background.
• Supports a compassionate environment by providing psychological support.
• Assists technical staff with injections, venipuncture, and administration of medications and IV care.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research.
