Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health in Long Branch, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor & Delivery unit at Monmouth Medical Center. This full-time night shift role emphasizes patient assessment, evidence-based care, and collaboration with physicians to support vaginal and Cesarean deliveries.
The ideal candidate will hold an active New Jersey RN license, with BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications, a BSN preferred, and EMR experience (EPIC).
Qualifications
- Active NJ RN license in good standing and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; RN L&D or acute care experience valued.
- Experience with EPIC EMR highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and intervene early as needed.
- Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparedness.
- Document accurately in the EMR to maintain continuity and safety.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team discussions.
- Contribute to a collaborative environment supporting patient outcomes.
- Pursue continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
