Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery at RWJ Somerset in Somerville, NJ. This part-time role requires strong clinical judgment, compassionate communication, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.
You will assess patients, administer treatments, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds. A NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, 1–2 years L&D experience, and an ADN are required; BSN preferred for growth within this premier health
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS certification required
- 1–2 years Labor & Delivery experience preferred
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred for advancement
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
- Administer medications and provide hands-on care
- Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions
- Educate patients and families for informed care transitions
- Accurately document in the EMR to ensure continuity of care
- Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and team communication
- Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and ladder opportunities
