Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is hiring a part-time Night shift RN in Labor & Delivery at Community Medical Center. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, educate patients and families, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds.

Candidates must have NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS/NRP within 3 months; Bachelor’s degree preferred; EMR experience; 2 days a week 7p-7:30a including weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and NRP within 3 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight for timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote safety and continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support coordinated care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on outcomes and safety.
• Pursue continuing education and professional growth.
