Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 12.5-hour night shift on the Labor & Delivery unit. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week and a supportive team focused on safety and continuous improvement.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, document in EPIC, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• BSN preferred; NRP certification and prior patient care experience are a plus.
• Comfort with EPIC and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Partner with physicians and providers to support timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly, so they are informed and prepared for the next phase of care.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.
• Contribute during rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Collaborate within a highly team-based, accountable environment.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and organizational resources.
