Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor & Delivery unit at Monmouth Medical Center. This night-shift, hourly position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence in a high-acuity setting.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, advocate for patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support vaginal and Cesarean deliveries. A NJ RN license and BLS/ACLS/NRP are required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• This role requires an active NJ RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• EMR experience, preferably EPIC, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize early clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to improve understanding and engagement.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to effective team communication.
