Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's RWJ Hamilton location is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Unit-I on the night shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, and document care in the EMR to promote safe, high-quality outcomes.

Active New Jersey RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred and ASN/diploma acceptable with commitment to pursue BSN within five years. This role offers 36 hours weekly and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ASN or Nursing diploma required; BSN within five years of hire is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Partner with physicians and advanced providers to support timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparation for next care phase.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to effective communication and transitions of care.
• Engage in a collaborative team environment and pursue professional growth through education.
