Job summary

Advocate Health (Advocate Aurora Health) is seeking a part-time registered nurse for the nursing float pool. The role involves 24 hours per week with 2 x 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am) and every other weekend, with floating to Atrium Health Union, Union West, and Anson as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-certified nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the applicable state.
• BLS certification required; other certifications may be needed by specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practice.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols; pursue ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
