Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse for the Union nursing float pool in North Carolina. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week with three 12-hour night shifts and alternating weekends, floating to Union, Union West, and Anson facilities.

Responsibilities include applying nursing process, patient assessment, care coordination, and maintaining high safety standards. Requires RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with multi-state or single-state privileges.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and aides.
