Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time Nursing Float Pool role. You will work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week from 7p-7a, with every other weekend. Flexibility to float to Atrium Health Union, Union West, Waxhaw ED, and Anson is required.

You will engage in professional governance, apply evidence-based practices, and coordinate care with families and the care team while maintaining safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• BSN preferred; telehealth/virtual modality practice requires state licensure.
• Experience in clinical nursing is typically expected.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care improvements.
• Assesses, plans, diagnoses, implements, and evaluates nursing care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols; delegates appropriately.
• Maintains professional development and required certifications.
