Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool in the Monroe area. The role requires 3 x 12-hour shifts weekly (7a-7p) with every-other weekend, and potential float to related units.

You will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with the team, and support safety and quality initiatives. Ideal candidates hold an approved nursing program diploma and RN licensure; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
