Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to oversee clinical staff and unit operations in the Family Birthing Center. This leadership role requires a CT RN license, BSN, and at least two years of acute care experience.

The incumbent will manage resources, staff schedules, and quality measures to maintain safe, family-centered care. Responsibilities include supervising on-shift operations, collaborating with leadership, and guiding performance improvement

Qualifications

• BSN required; incumbent must obtain BSN within 3 years if currently eligible.
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in CT; Basic Life Support (BLS) credential.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, policy adherence and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care, clinical staff, and unit operations.
• Oversee daily operations including off-shift and weekend supervision.
• Manage resources, payroll, and staff scheduling to ensure throughput.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives within the department.
