Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem night coverage at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The role requires neonatal to geriatric therapies, following hospital policy and physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds CoARC-accredited education with RRT or registry-eligible status, IL licensure within 6 months, and active CPR. ACLS/NRP/PALS must be completed within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program.
• RRT certification or registry-eligible status.
• State licensure required within 6 months of employment.
• CPR certification current.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS required within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with Respiratory Therapy procedures as requested.
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients as ordered by physicians.
• Assess patients to determine suitable administration method.
• Document treatments, equipment maintenance and orders; transcribe physician orders.
• Communicate treatment plan to patients and families clearly.
• Monitor patient response to therapy, with special attention to pediatric and neonatal.
• Provide patient and staff education.

Education

Graduation from CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligible

Illinois licensure within 6 months

Current CPR by American Heart Association

ACLS, NRP, and PALS within 24 months
