Job summary

Endeavor Health's Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a part-time, 20-hour week schedule. You will provide respiratory therapy across age ranges, with shifts 8 or 12 hours at night, and every other weekend/holiday coverage.

The role requires CoARC-accredited education, RRT credential or registry eligibility, IL license within 6 months, CPR, and ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by CoARC.
• Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry-eligible status.
• Illinois licensure within 6 months of employment.
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS required within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians.
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities.
• Transcribe verbal or phone orders from physicians.
• Communicate treatment to patients and families in a clear manner.
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with focus on neonatal/pediatric patients.
• Provide patient and staff education.
