Job summary

Qualifications

CoARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Science.
Current NBRC certification as Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
Louisiana State Board license as a respiratory therapist.
Current BLS and ALS certifications (ILCOR courses acceptable).
NICU and PICU experience with NRP and PALS preferred; weekends/holidays required.

Responsibilities

Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in the respiratory department with understanding of equipment, indications, contraindications and physiological effects.
Ensure correct use of equipment, supplies and safety protocols.
Assess patient needs and respond to clinical indications with appropriate care.
Collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
