Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in the respiratory department. You will work 7pm-7am and support patients with respiratory care, equipment management, and safety protocols.

Requirements include a CoARC-approved program, NBRC RRT/CRT certification, LA license, BLS/ALS, and ICU experience preferred. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• CoARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Science.
• NBRC certification as RRT/CRT.
• Louisiana license as Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS and ALS certifications via ILCOR courses with manikin check off.
• NICU and PICU experience with NRP and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all therapeutic and diagnostic procedures available through the respiratory department with understanding of equipment, supplies, indications and contraindications.
• Ensures awareness of physiological effects on the patient.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
