Job summary

Christus Health in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide pulmonary care for critical and chronically ill patients under physician supervision. You will assess patients and implement respiratory care plans, performing ventilator management, airway procedures, and oxygen delivery across hospital units.

The role requires RT/RCP licensure in the state, BLS, RRT NBRC, and ACLS/PALS certifications, with a 12-hour night shift (6PM–6AM) and full-time employment.

Qualifications

• RT or RCP license in the state of employment.
• BLS certification required.
• RRT NBRC certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Emergency response coordination (Code Blue/White).
• Airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning.
• Ventilator setup and operation.
• Delivery of oxygen and monitoring of respiratory therapies.
• Blood gas collection and analysis; EKG analysis.
• Accurate documentation and charting.
• Equipment cleaning and stocking; CAP and JC surveys participation.
