Responsibilities

• Performs basic and critical respiratory care services as ordered by the physician.
• Administers respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Completes paperwork and electronic medical records for each patient.
• Assesses prescribed therapy and documents its appropriateness.
• Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy and maintains charts.
• Performs arterial blood gas draws per policy and order.
• Provides care to ventilator patients and assists with training of new staff.
• Maintains records and assists in department duties and equipment checks.
