Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• RRT or RRT equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery and related equipment and conducts prescribed therapies.
• Administers and explains therapeutic procedures and expected benefits.
• Performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and informs plans of care.
• Documents therapy results per hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Performs respiratory care in emergencies and supports the team.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets values.
• Works independently in patient care areas and assists others.
• Follows safety guidelines and completes regulatory requirements.
• Completes annual proficiency evaluation of equipment and procedures.
• Proficient in EMR and interface with Respiratory Care Department.
