Methodist Richardson Medical Center seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care for adults and neonates during the night shift. You will perform ABG analysis, ventilator support, oxygen therapy, bronchiol hygiene, and related procedures under supervision of the medical director.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, BLS and ACLS, Texas license, and NBRC registration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Minimum 6 months respiratory care experience preferred, new graduates welcome.

Responsabilités

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene and chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform and report prescribed cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures (ABG analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECG).
• Prepare treatment evaluations with bedside assessment and review of medical records.
• Apply critical thinking to determine appropriate interventions.
• Interpret CXRs, ABG, and PFTs when reviewing patient data.
• Assemble, check, operate, and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment (ventilators, airways, analyzers).
• Participate in infection control, safety and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain and clean all cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Follow patient scripting to support satisfaction.
