Job summary

Methodist Charlton Medical Center seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 12x3 night shift. The role includes ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, and oxygen/aerosol therapy. You’ll work under indirect supervision and provide care for adult and neonatal patients while adhering to department policies.

Requirements include an accredited Respiratory Care Program graduate, BLS and ACLS, Texas licensure, NBRC registration, and at least 6 months of experience in respiratory care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Texas licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner; NBRC registration.
• Minimum 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, humidity therapy, and ventilator support.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests and ECGs.
• Assesses patients via bedside respiratory evaluation and reviews medical records.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data and responds accordingly.
• Maintains and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment and ensures infection control.
