Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensure in New York State is required or eligible.
• BSN preferred; acute hospital experience preferred.
• Prior experience with psychiatric/mental health patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and plan care with other disciplines.
• Develop written care plans including discharge planning.
• Administer direct care and medications as needed by the patient.
• Practice infection control and maintain a safe environment.
• Document care and patient education in medical records.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to RN/Clinician.
• Develop and maintain care plans with goals for patient and family.
• Provide patient/family teaching and ensure alignment with physician instructions.
• Coordinate with staff and departments to support patient care.
• Participate in unit or hospital quality assurance activities.
